February 2009
Greetings from Auburn University and BEST Robotics!
You are cordially invited to join us at the first-ever BEST National Conference hosted by Auburn University. Your company or organization has been specifically targeted because we believe you are a “good fit” with BEST.
BEST is the second largest educational
robotics competition in the U.S.
…and the only one that is free to schools.
Conference Attendees
The conference is a collective of passionate educators, volunteers, sponsors, board/advisory council members, and “champions.” These are individuals who have experienced first-hand the power of this remarkable program. They include:
- Veteran BEST middle and high school teachers who use Engineering equipment/kits, activities, and/or curriculum in their classrooms
- Teachers who are new to BEST and new to developing Engineering programs in their schools
- Lead teachers in Engineering/Pre-Engineering Academies
- College and university faculty who host BEST competitions
- Engineers, scientists, and technical experts who mentor BEST teams
- School system administrators and board members
- Representatives from BEST’s sponsoring businesses and industries
- BEST “Champions” – civic leaders, chambers of commerce officials, local and state government representatives, etc.
BEST National Conference
Our teachers participate in BEST because it is affordable, practical, and manageable. Most of them do not have degrees or backgrounds in engineering and have little or no experience with robotics. They serve as team sponsors or coaches because they want their students to experience this powerful, often life-changing program.
They most appreciate programs, equipment, and materials that are like BEST itself – affordable, practical, and manageable to use in the classroom. The types of products you sell are exactly what they need and use.

I hope you will join the “BEST family” at our inaugural national conference. We believe you’ll enjoy the camaraderie, the setting, our teachers, our volunteers, and some great Southern hospitality.
As the conference contact for exhibitors, I want to make sure that every aspect of your BEST experience is a good one. Please do not hesitate to contact me.
“War Eagle!”
