Igus says Y.E.S. to students and students say Y.E.S. to success!
igus® Inc. is a national sponsor for the BEST (Boosting Engineering, Science and Technology) Robotics Competition. As the first national product sponsor for BEST, igus in conjunction with its Y.E.S. (Young Engineers Support) Program donates various plastic machinery components to each BEST team, every season. igus created the Y.E.S. Program to foster the mechanical design ideas of students who have a passion for engineering and to educate them on the benefits and merits of plastic components.
The company's generous donation of products enables the BEST experience to be more complex and challenging for the students. igus manufactures industry-leading plastic components for use on automated machinery, and its donations to BEST include Energy Chain® cable carriers, DryLin® linear guide systems, DryLin S anodized aluminum shafting and igubal® spherical bearings.
Through the Y.E.S. Program, igus provides free samples, technical support and educational presentations to students for engineering or robotics projects and competitions. The benefits of the Y.E.S. Program are boundless for igus, young engineers and BEST participants. igus enjoys helping students transform their design ideas into reality and looks forward to learning about the creative ways its products are incorporated into those designs. igus also welcomes inquiries from engineers, team sponsors, project advisors and teachers in order to learn about the ways they can take advantage of the Y.E.S. Program.
